BOC Specshield 5% Hydrogen in Argon Gas Cylinder
The BOC Specshield range combines argon and hydrogen to deliver superior results when TIG or plasma welding austenitic stainless steels or plasma cutting stainless steel and aluminium.
The addition of hydrogen to Specshield improves the penetration and surface finish. In automatic welding hydrogen improves welding speeds and produces a flatter weld bead.
Specshield 5% Hydrogen in Argon achieves better welding speeds than other suitable shielding gases, helps cut production costs as well as reducing the amount of distortion created in the components being produced.
Adding hydrogen increases the cleaning of the material being welded and the amount of energy transferred into the weld, resulting in better welding speeds and less post-weld cleaning.
